Made near Stern Grove Park in San Francisco's Sunset District. This was a really wonderful time my life where I was able to be a full time artist and I realized I had some vision and talent that was uniquely my own. For this I was the model, so I guess it was sort of a self portrait. I was still a terribly shy boy ... still am. For an artist a self portrait is really about confrontation, facing your fears and looking deep within yourself asking, who am I?

He also works with stories and myth. Capone began his career as an artist creating dreamlike, sensual, often homoerotic images of young men in search of love, identity, and their place in the world.
