There is a lake that burns with fire and brimstone ... One of the darker images in my catalog. This one in unique as I was infect the model in the painting. Made this in the Castro district of San Francisco when I had an art studio there. I don't usually use acrylic as I usually prefer water color and pencils, so here is one on my few works on canvas. What is it about? I'm not entirely sure, I know I made it after I went to France and I was busy worrying about mortality after being diagnosed with HIV. Currently I am not worried about my mortality so I look at this now and think, my my Rene aren't we dramatic. HAAAAAAA
