Made during the recovery of two hip surgeries when I did not know if i would ever be able to walk again or not. I became completely lost in drawing this image. It took two weeks and many endless nights. There were just are so many layers that I lost track. One of my all time favorites. I'm proud that I worked on it through the pain. A longing for romance was present there too - there was a real sense of just over the horizon because when your injured for a long period of time it affects all your relationships. All and you loose people when your injured.
