Protecting the Zebra Fields metal print by Rene Capone.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

Made while I was in recovery from multiple orthopedic operations, this series is about losing and then finding the will to live. In 2014 my hip bones began to crumble because of Avascular Necrosis. Now in 2016, I am just starting to walk again. The mid section of my skeleton in pure metal, both hips & legs. It is a miracle that I walk. A miracle that I do not take for granted. The "Zebra Boy" imagery was made so I could escape pain, turning tragedy into myth so I had somewhere to go. The characters I create are part of me, but sometimes I think I draw them so I never actually have to become them. There is a sadness to the character that could not be helped but also a mystical driven quality that I was only able to access because of my deep longing to physically rejoin the human race.
