Description
This drawing was featured in BLUE magazine from Australia. The feature was called "Pain and Ink" The article reads as fallows : Call it a break from his modus operandi, Stark almost threatening landscapes, heavy with symbolic meaning and peopled with teaming gangs of naked youths, would appear to be Rene Capone's favored subject matter. But here San Francisco-based artist steps away from his usual Chirico-meets-Lord of the flies fare to present a more intimate scene. This drawing was made during the rainy season of 2002 in San Francisco" says Capone. "It was one of those drawings that just arrived like a gift. The pencil and the watercolor just fitted magically together to bring out the emotion of the figures. I was going for a sense of tension and beauty ... in the process I feel a great sense of longing came out as well."
