This image speaks to the darkness in me. In my work as an artist it always creeps in. I've lived through experiences in life that would render most dead. I've seen the worst that humanity has to offer and yet even in my darkest of tones regarding my artwork, there is light and hope. Always there is hope. In Native American myths the meaning of two crows or ravens presenting themselves in the hero's narrative always means profound change is about. Also that you are being watched from the other side, the spirit world. When the raven flies ... maybe you should too. Ravens also remind us that humans are second class life forms in comparison to them. Noah set two birds free from the Ark after the great flood. Go look for land he comanded to a sleek black raven and the white dove. The Raven did not care to return with the olive branch ... for the black bird knew that mankind could not and should not be trusted. The descendants of the raven are outside your window now. They have not forgotten...
